3D Modelling in Maya: Creating a German Stielhandgranate
In this course we will use the subject of a German Stick Grenade to teach you how to make a simple game prop using current techniques with Maya and Substance Painter. This course focuses on intermediate level modelling and texturing techniques. It is not essential but I recommend having completed my course called Understanding Current Asset Creation Techniques if this is the first time you have modelled.
When working in a studio or if you are trying to work towards that goal it is absolutely imperative you learn the right software, learning Blender for example will not get you a job as 90% of studios use Maya and Max with the majority being Maya. Autodesk Maya you can obtain an Educational License for free to allow you to learn industry standard software. I invite you to check this yourself, have a look at Artstation job listings.
