This course: Autodesk Maya the Basics for Beginners is designed to
make learning the art of 3D modelling easy, during this course you will
learn all the major skills you need to make it possible for you to take
more involved courses.
This course has been designed in
modules meaning each lecture will show you a new skill, it is beneficial
to push these skills on your own and realy see how you can use them.
end result of this course will be that you will be able to take your
learning to the next level taking what you know from this course and
then moving onto more complex projects as you work your way from
beginner to advanced!

In this lecture we will have a quick look at the panel sets inside Maya.
Learn how to Navigate around inside Maya.
Learn how to scale, rotate and translate your objects inside Maya.
Each primitive shape you build has options that can be changed lets look how these options can be modified inside Maya.
In this lecture we will look at different primitive shelf shapes and how we can modify them.
Being able to select different component types is essential inside Maya, during this lecture we will look at the main ones you will use commonly.
Being able to open and close project although simple need to be shown lets do it.
In this lecture I will show you different shader or material types inside Maya.
A great tool to understand is the extrude tool, as well as this there are a ton of different ones have a play with these and watch out for th tool tips in the bar at the bottom!
3D objects have a side believe it or not this is referrred to as the surface normal, lets m it here and show you how to flip them.
We can easily keep our scene organised and clean using the outliner.
Being able to group and parent our geometry is again an essential thing to be able to do lets do it!
During this lesson I will show you how to render a basic scene, rendering is a massive subject and in this lesson you are only shown the principals of it!
Like rendering there is a lot to lighting but this simple lecture will show you the basics!

As mentioned there is a lot to 3D and this course is purely to get you on the road, equiped with the knowledge you have you can proceed onto any of my courses, I set my courses up as though you were a beginner so some of my courses are quite complex however armed wth the knowlwedge from this course you can safely take them!
