Blender 3D Beginners Guide to the Particle System
Do you want to learn how to use the Particle System in Blender to create awesome renders or animations? Do you want to feel confident while using particles? By the end of this course you will have an understanding of the functions in the particle system. In the first couple sections we will be focusing on the settings and what each one does. Then we will move onto creating grass in Blender. Section 5 we will be taking a look at fluid particles. We will also be creating an animation using the fluid particles!
Section 6 we will be making an animation of low poly smoke. I am also giving away a train model to help sell the scene a little bit more.
Section 7 we will create realistic hair using the Particle System. I will be showing you exactly how to add in the hair, comb it into place and make it look good.
Learning Blender can be very hard when you first start that’s why I built this course for all levels beginner to advanced. I will be showing you step by step on what to do and why we do it. From the basics of modeling to advanced techniques like creating grass with particle systems.

The program that is used in this course is Blender 3D.
Blender 3D is a free open source program that allows you to create literally anything on the computer!
You can download by going to their website.
I can’t wait to see the renders and animations you create!
This is the trailer for the Blender 3D Complete Guide to the Particle System online course!
In this video I give you a basic overview of the Blender shortcuts that we will be using throughout this course!
In this video I show you the render engine that we will be using throughout this course in Blender!
In this video I describe what particle are and how you can use them to create some really cool effects in Blender!
There are 2 different types of particles and in this video I show you the differences between them!
In this tutorial I show you how to name your particle system in Blender!
This quiz is all about the basics of the particle system in Blender!
Emitter and Hair Settings
In this video we take a look at the emission settings in our particle system in Blender!
In this video I show you the power of the baking cache in the particle system.
Velocity might be a confusing subject but in this video I describe how it works in Blender!
Rotation is also a hard subject to comprehend when it comes to particles. It can be confusing but in this video you will learn how it works in Blender.
In this video I describe how the physics option work and how to use them to get the results you want in Blender!
In this video we talk about the Halo render option in the particle system. Halos are quite cool and can create some really interesting results in Blender!
In this video we take a look at the render setting the particle system and I talk about how to use them!
In this video I show you how the display tab works in the particle system.
In this quiz you will be asked questions about the settings in the particle system in Blender!
In this lecture we will be talking about keyed particles and how it works in Blender. Keyed particles are super cool and it allows you to morph particles into whatever shape you want!
Physics and Collisions
In this video you will learn about field weights and how it effects your particle system in Blender!
Force field settings allow you to have the particles themselves have a force field effect and in this video I show you how to use it in Blender!
In this video I show you have to collision object for your particle system in Blender!
In this video I show you how to have particles follow a curve in Blender!
In this quiz you will be asked questions about the physics of the particles and how force fields interact with them.
Creating Grass in Blender
In this video we create the particle system for our grass and mess around with the settings to get it just right in Blender!
In this video I show you how vertex groups work and how can you use them to save memory in Blender!
In this video we create the material for our grass in cycles!
In this video we finish up the grass and render it out in Blender!
In this video we take a look at the fluid particles and I give a brief overview of what they are and how to use them in Blender!
In this video we start making an animation using the fluid particles we learn about in the last video!
After we bake the scene we jump into the materials and lighting and I show you a trick on how to get a gradient effect using a particle info node in Blender!
In this video we sequence the animation using the Video Sequence Editor in Blender!
Low Poly Smoke
In this video we set up the particle system for our animation in Blender!
In this video we create the lighting and then do some final settings for the render.
In this video we sequence out the animation in the video sequence editor!
In this video I give a brief overview of the particle edit mode in Blender and we discuss how the options work!
In this video we start stylizing the hair and combing it into the way we want. Stylizing hair can be very tricky in Blender and it takes time and effort to get right so make sure to go slow when you do this section.
In this video we set up the material for our highlights in our hair in Blender!
In this video we make our hair a little bit more realistic by adding some children kinks to it in Blender!
