SketchUp is a powerful 3D modeling tool with robust features that allows designers to explore and communicate projects, import and export various file formats and create interactive presentations. This is a widely used software in the world, especially by architects, landscapers, but also for the presentation of events, the design of 3D objects … Sketchup is very interesting for garden design because it allows you to model a garden project in 3D. Sketchup does not stop there, it can also allow you to create plans of development or plantation in 2D.

The advantages of Sketchup

– SketchUp is a simple, fast and intuitive software compared to other 3D modeling software.

– You can already make simple models after only a few hours of learning.

– SketchUp makes it possible to produce models consisting of few faces and therefore very light.

– Because of its non-parametric modeling principle, SketchUp is suitable for many uses.

– It has an extensive collection of free components with the 3D Warehouse

– The free version already offers a large number of possibilities

– There are a large number of plugins, many of which are free like Twilight rendering to create realistic renderings

Do you want to use Sketchup for garden landscaping? Do you want to create a 2D plan of a garden? Want to make a 3D rendering of a landscaping project? You want to present a garden project?

In this course you will learn how to use Sketchup from the beginning and use it for garden landscaping. We will see all the tools step by step and then adapt them for garden creation. We will see concrete examples such as a project to surround a house, the development of a small garden or staging decorative pot. To that I will show you the use of the free Twilight Render Plugin to create a real rendering of your project. The course will be completed with an example of using the Layout software that allows you to present your Sketchup projects by creating presentation layouts.

Definitely! If you have an internet connection, courses on Udemy are available on any device at any time. If you don't have an internet connection, some instructors also let their students download course lectures. That's up to the instructor though, so make sure you get on their good side!
